Marian Hirsch is a full time professional artist and devotes time to on-location painting capturing the ever-changing color and mood of the world we live in. Working in a variety of media - watercolor, oil, and gouache – these plein air studies provide the foundation for her color rich pastel landscapes, which are composed and created in her studio.

Outdoor, the quick changes of light and the restraints of weather and time demand that the essence of a scene is captured quickly in paint and pigment.  This skill has come from many dedicated hours of painting, studying and observation.
